Everyone Needs A First Grade Teacher In Their Life

So today Teenage Daughter was home sick and Youngest Son wasn’t feeling red hot either.  Banker Husband told me that he sneezed all day long and I’m feeling way tired and dragged out.  It’s a bit early for the cold and flu season, but my family is passing around some sort of virus.

I went to Youngest Son’s curriculum night and listened to his teacher talk about, well, the curriculum amongst other things like parties, field trips, etc.  I have a special place in my heart for kindergarten and first grade teachers.  They are some of the nicest human beings on the earth.

At the end of the night, she told us parents that she thought of our children as her own.  She tells them everyday that they are very important and that they need to concentrate on being the best that they can be.

I wonder if adults could hire first grade teachers to coach them too.  On days like today, some warm and fuzzy life affirmations would go a long way.
