Dyeing for Change With Goth Mom – Amateur Hair Colorist

Oh what a difference one letter makes.

Goth Mom, after getting her hair to look semi normal, but with a noticeable amount of fake red, stood in front of the L’Oreal hair colors at Target.  She had two boxes of color in her hands, one labeled 5G (medium golden brown – what she used last time) and the other labeled 5 (medium brown).  Underneath number 5 said “natural”.

Natural is good, right?  It evokes thoughts of pure, shiny color…the kind that she used to have in her 20’s and 30’s.  Goth Mom felt that natural was the way to go.

Wrong.  Goth Mom has decided that natural is dowdy.  It’s flat, as in flat paint, with no dimension to speak of.  It’s also too dark again.

You know that little “G” after number 5 on medium golden brown?  Well, Goth Mom has decided that it stands for “Give it up”.  If she’s going to have to deal with this every time she colors her hair, she might as well just go gray.

Goth Mom was last seen at Hot Topic deciding between a Sex Pistols t-shirt and a bustier.  There is nothing natural about her hair or her behavior anymore.
