Teenage Daughter is currently enjoying the sights and sounds of New York with her class. Being the hip and cool mom that I am, I sent her a text message asking her how things were going. It only took me 10 minutes.
Less than 10 seconds later, I received a reply. How do their thumbs work so fast? It’s a mystery to me. I feel arthritic just thinking about it.
I then received at least 7 text messages, telling me in short, descriptive sentences (I use that term loosely) all about skating at the Rockefeller center, what food they ate and what they’re doing today.
Amazing. All that in less than 50 words. It’s kind of like its own form of poetry.
