So, a funny thing happened on the way to the mall yesterday.
I was chauffeuring Teenage Daughter’s friends and they were talking about Tumblr. Usually, I just sit quietly and listen to what’s happening in the world of adolescence but this time I bravely chimed in. “What’s Tumblr?”, I asked. “Oh, it’s a blogging site.”
Blogging? I used to do that. I told Teenage Daughter’s friends that I have a blog. “Really? That is SO cool!”.
Me. Cool. Wow.
Okay, so I left out the fact that I went into semi-retirement. I still had a blog, darn it, and just because it was sitting fallow didn’t mean that it wasn’t mine, right? I thought about all of your parting comments and decided that it is better to blog and lose than never to blog at all. Or something like that.
Truth is, I’ve missed this part of my life. A lot. So, if you’ll still have me, I’ll post when the spirit moves me or when I find a good book to talk about (or a bad book to insult). You can comment back or just read my posts and wish I would go away again. That’s up to you.
In the meantime, let’s talk about things such as books, children, and work. Because, gosh, that’s pretty much all I do. It’s going to be awesome.

How rite you are, Deb. Laundry is my ever present friend and so are you. Although, I like you better than laundry.
